Group Work

Group Work

CLE places a high value on the importance of group therapy. Group therapy offers individuals the opportunity to address the unfinished business from childhood relative to their parents, siblings and peers. While individual counseling more closely mirrors the support a person might have experienced one-on-one with a parent, group recreates the experiences with siblings and peers, providing individuals with the opportunity to learn how to more effectively relate with others. Group provides the forum to address some of the issues that surface on the playgrounds of life.

CLE offers a wide variety of groups designed to enhance transformation for women and men of all ages: moms, dads, business people, and spiritual leaders.

We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Blue Choice PPO Insurance. For more information, please contact us at (847) 272-3684.

Transformational Training Group

This weekly group is designed for those who want to invigorate and accelerate their personal transformation. Transformational Groups require the highest level of commitment and deliver the greatest benefit and reward. This group uses a developmental curriculum of specific assignments designed to break down the transformational growth process into tangible steps. Initially, participants take on assignments and exercises designed to develop the basic skills necessary to function effectively in groups. As participants mature, they focus on core areas of growth including: understanding the impact of their family of origin, the integration and responsible use of personal power, and experiencing nourishment from self-care and relationships with others. Each of our Transformational Groups is facilitated by several highly-trained staff members.

For more information on the Transformational Training Group contact Nancy Rollins at Nancy.rollins@cle.us.com; 224-217-0279 or Gabriela Cantu at Gabriela.cantu@cle.us.com; 773-350-6138

Couples

Couples groups are led by Dr. Rich Blue and his wife, Sue Blue (a Masters-Level Life Coach and founder of Blue Life Coaching). Couples groups include teaching, training, discussion, and exercises, all designed to enrich healthy partnerships. These groups are open, and actively seek couples that wish to take their relationship to the next level. Men‘s

The Men’s Group focuses on the dynamic issues common to men. These areas of growth include self-awareness, self-acceptance, loving partners more effectively, and providing strong parenting for their children. Men’s Group also focuses on empowering men to be transformational leaders at work and at home. This group is a process group, where men are deepening their relationships with other men through authentic connection with each other. Our Men’s Group meets on Fridays from 6:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Moms

The Moms Group was formed to address the special needs of women with children ranging from newborns through high school ages. We have found that moms are prone to serving others and avoiding taking care of themselves. Moms are especially vulnerable to isolation and burnout. This group focuses on supporting women to get nourishment from other moms, and learn how to more effectively lead in their homes. The Moms Group is led by Nancy Rollins and meets weekly on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.

If you would like more information, please call Nancy Rollins at Nancy.rollins@cle.us.com; 224-217-0279.

Pastors

The Pastors Group is led by CLE’s founder and Executive Director, Rev. Dr. Rich Blue. It was created to provide pastors a safe place to encourage one another and receive guidance on issues related to personal and spiritual growth. The group addresses the unique concerns facing those in spiritual leadership of not-for-profit organizations, including the leadership challenges involved in working effectively with staff, boards, and parishioners. The Pastors Group also provides support for the ongoing stresses of being in the ministry, including avoiding the threat of burnout. The Pastors Group meets every other Thursday morning 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. and actively seeks pastors who are committed to their personal growth.

Running/Walking Club

The CLE Running/Walking Club was started by Nancy Rollins. Her passion for running inspired the vision for a group to use exercise as a metaphor for personal growth transformation. Nancy saw that the training and dedication necessary to succeed in running were the same qualities needed to succeed in life. This club offers people a tangible way to practice the skills necessary to reach life goals. Although running is a sport often characterized by individualism and isolation, Nancy’s vision for the club is to give participants an opportunity to both enjoy the pleasure of challenge and competition, while experiencing the benefits of training and belonging to a supportive community. Members take on challenges, set goals, and provide mutual encouragement and accountability. The Running/Walking Club meets the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m. -10:00 a.m.

Women of Wisdom

Women of Wisdom: Women Embracing Their Power and Potential is a community of women who want to learn more about themselves and deepen their interpersonal relationships. In this group women discover new ways of responding positively to their wants, needs, and feelings. They also receive encouragement to explore the meaning of mid-life in the context of life history, while learning to cope with the change, loss, and growth this time inevitably brings. The group is led by Nancy Rollins and Gabriela Cantú. Currently two groups are offered: a Thursday afternoon group that meets every other Thursday from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., and another, which meets monthly on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Please call Nancy at 847-272-3684 ext. 130 for more information.
